We're very pleased to announce that we've welcomed a new Financial Planner to join David, Anna and Ross as part of our Team here at Woodgate. Tom Clarke joined us in May and will spend some time getting to know the Woodgate way, ready to work with you and help you achieve your goals.
We asked Tom to tell us about himself and why he's passionate about financial planning. Here's what he said...
There is no better feeling than to provide clients with the peace of mind that their financial circumstances are in order, particularly when protecting what they have taken years to build and maximising their money’s future potential to work harder for them.
I've worked in wealth management since 2011, which has involved working for various financial planning practices across the Midlands gaining cumulative experience in financial services administration, paraplanning and providing financial advice. I've studied to gain the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as well as the CII Certificate in Mortgage Advice and I'm a member of the Personal Finance Society.
My role at Woodgate...
I have joined Woodgate as a Trainee Financial Planner, initially working within the Paraplanning team to support the creation of holistic financial plans for our clients.
This role will allow me to build on my existing wealth management experience and provide me with a clear and structured path to fully develop into a Financial Planner within Woodgate.
I am really looking forward to building relationships with existing and new clients at Woodgate.
What I'd like to achieve...
David and the Woodgate team are supporting my career to enable me to provide the highest professional standards and build long-term relationships with our existing clients.
The way that Woodgate provides clients with a clear written step-by-step financial plan that is genuinely based on their personal goals is refreshing and inspiring.
I am keen to develop my knowledge and experience to complement an already successful team and my personal professional development is very important to me; I will be studying to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status and complete the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.
Being recommended by existing clients to their friends and family is the biggest compliment you can get as a financial planner which is always a highlight to me. I am really looking forward to building relationships with existing and new clients at Woodgate.
